Regarding the approach to AI, the idea that language models are probabilistic and infer so much beyond explicit instructions is truely fascinating, it completely reframes how I think about prompt engineering for my students. The insight about the first message setting the entire session's context makes me wonder about the broader implications for human-AI interaction in our future.

Thanks so much for reading and for such a thoughtful reflection! You’re touching on the part of language models that still feels underexplored: how early context subtly shapes everything that follows. Once you start seeing that, “prompting” feels less like issuing commands and more like setting conditions for reasoning.

We’re big believers in AI’s future, but even bigger believers that its usefulness is proportional to how intentionally it’s used. We’re currently writing a short, deeper series on this exact dynamic and would genuinely love your perspective as we develop it.
